Week 1 Term 2 Bulletin
Week 1 Bulletin
Welcome back to Term two with a 'mini' newsletter to keep you up to date with some upcoming events. Presently the sun is shining and we're optimistic about an exciting term ahead. As we return to a more normal school setting we look forward to having increased parent and family involvement in school life as we continue to build community together. A big thanks to our group of parents who met with the school leadership team to plan the upcoming Mothers Day breakfast. We would love to have some extra volunteers as Class Parent Representatives to build on the work being planned for your child's class. Simply contact the office if you are interested or would like more information.
I would like to acknowledge two of our stage 3 leaders Sasha and Hadleigh who demonstrated initiative and wonderful community compassion, by fundraising $278 for those affected by the flood. Well done Sasha and Hadleigh, St Finbarr's is very proud of you.
It's so good to be back with our wonderful students and our beautiful school. Looking forward to seeing you all in the upcoming weeks.

Confirmation Information
Just a reminder that our Parent Confirmation meeting will be held tonight, Thursday the 28th of April at 6:30pm.
You are warmly invited to join Fr. David, Parish Priest of Holy Spirit Parish, and St. Finbarr’s school staff at the Confirmation Parent Meeting tonight Thursday 28th April, 6.30pm at St. Finbarr’s Church, Byron Bay.
Any student in Year 3 or above who is a baptised Catholic is able to receive this Sacrament. Bishop Greg’s current Sacramental Policy for the Diocese of Lismore is for Confirmation in Year 3, First Reconciliation in Year 4 and First Holy Communion in Year 4.
This meeting will provide you with information in respect to the Sacrament of Confirmation and give you an opportunity to register your child for the programme for 2022.
Sacraments are such an important part of your child’s faith journey, therefore, it is necessary that at least one parent attends this meeting. This will enable you as parents and carers to understand and engage with the process your child will be actively participating in as part of their preparation of the Sacrament. Children are not required to attend this meeting, however, part of the preparation will include parents and students together attending the dates below. Please note the dates below include Saturday Masses at St. Finbarr’s Byron Bay and the Sunday Masses at St Kevin’s Bangalow. You are only required to attend one of these Masses each weekend.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the meeting please contact the Parish Office on (02) 66 856260 or email stfins@bigpond.com
